All proceeds from the ticket go directly to benefit Robert Wood Johnson Barnabus Health system.
Price per adult: $150.00 (Includes General Admission Ticket for the Event, Catered Gourmet Appetizers, Catered Lunch, Open Bar and Wait Staff )
Of the $150, $110 is for the General Admission ticket for The Hunt. There is no need for you to purchase the ticket; we’ll do it for you as we also have an allotment of tickets for reserving the space where the party will be hosted!
Children under 14 are free when accompanied by an adult

Ticket prices include food, alcohol, and non-alcoholic beverages. We will be bringing in a catering company to serve our guests.
Other Fun Things to Know
- You will be security screened at entry. They will check bags and ‘wand’ individuals.
- We have an open, unlimited bar for the whole party! They will not allow you to bring alcohol in.
- There will be race betting.
- I suggest you wear shoes that can handle walking in a field. Think boots and sneakers instead of sandals or high-heels.
- There will be plenty of food and games!
- Please let me know of any dietary restrictions! We will do our best to accommodate.
- Advise that you bring layers depending on the weather that day. This time of year, it tends to be cooler in the morning and warmer later in the day.

Our Location, How Do I Get There?
We have two spacious areas in the Family Area at The Hunt, a secured area that allows children to run around and play in the area. The Family Area can only be accessed via one entryway, which has dedicated security. Anyone looking to enter the area must have a ticket for that area.

Historical Reference of “The Hunt”
The Far Hills Race Meeting traces its origins to the Essex Hunt, a fox-hunting event founded in Montclair, NJ in 1870. In 1913, the organizers of the Essex Hunt incorporated the Essex Fox Hounds.
In the tradition of these clubs, the Essex Fox Hounds established an event to thank the farmers and landowners who allowed them to hunt on their property. As it became known, the Farmer’s Day Race Meeting included the New Jersey Hunt Cup Steeplechase — a race that remains on the Far Hills Race Meeting card today.
In 1916, the event moved from the original club site to the Grant B. Schley estate — today known as Moorland Farm. Eventually becoming the Far Hills Race Meeting, the races have been continually run—with the exception of a short hiatus during World War II—on the same site.
